LSU/ corndogs is the greatest shtick in the SEC. The fact that LSU embraces it is really funny.

Still don't understand how this association of LSU and corn dogs came about. Corn dogs wouldn't make the Top 2000 of a list of all things Louisiana.

My buddy is an LSU fan, too. He has had similar struggles over the last 8 corn dog days. Hell, over the past three years, he hasn't been able to get a single corn dog in his hometown. And, that was after a change of management designed to specifically improve corn dog day results. It has been nuts.
Even in the years he does get some corndogs, they haven't been quality. His local Sonic touts how good they will be each year. But they always drop the ball, and he goes home completely empty handed or feeling shortchanged.
He thinks it is a food inspector conspiracy. Thinks they are tampering with the outcome to promote rival franchises. It doesn't help that the food inspector's office is located in the same city as their biggest corndog distributing competitor. Also, his local Sonic was closed down half a day last year on corndog day for some BS food violation. The whole town was in uproar. They put up a sign and everything... didnt help
But, he is always hopeful. Keep believing and good things will happen for you, as well.
