Fine with the off week but doing it on a Monday is garbage and late evening is worse. If it has to be late, do it on a Saturday night.

I’m pissed I’m taking off two days to make the game. I understand the ratings angle, but it’d be really cool if they accommodated the actual fans of the schools for a change

yeah i dont like how they are dragging out the cfb Postseason. It takes away from the value of the regular season by having a playoff. before long it will be an 8 team playoff too. college football really is turning into a minor league for the nfl... ncaa is trying to operate it the same way the pros do.

The networks who are airing the game for your viewing pleasure care about their ratings and playing the game at the same time as an NFL playoff game will cut into their ratings.
So the networks care about the NFL, as do large portions of the country that will choose watching the NFL over two southeastern college teams.

They are just preparing the masses for the inevitable 8 team playoff the media is constantly clamoring for. Screw what already works fine, and screw the actual fans of the teams involved.
