The loser of the LSU Bama game will take the backdoor into the playoffs. The grand prize for losing the game of the century 2 is not having to play Georgia in the SEC championship game. Oh by the way If the winner lose to Georgia in the Championship game no playoffs. It will take 3 undefeated P5 teams to keep a 1 loss LSU Bama team out the playoffs and history say that will not happen. Beating Bama twice in one year and winning the Natty would definitely heal some wounds. Winning the lottery sound easier though lol.

The loser of that game is not making the playoffs.

Yins really need to come to grips with that.

Just go win the game. You actually have a chance this year

Isn't it closer to last year than 2011?

Forgot about the UF loss. I was thinking the UGA win replaced it.

Not impossible and strange things happen in November, however, I think a one loss Big 10 Champ is in. I also think OU and Clemson will be undefeated. But if OU or Clemson lose one,or a 2 loss Big 10 Champ is crowned, then I think both LSU and Bama makes the playoffs assuming it is a close game.

Except Arkansas, instead of being the clear #3 team in the country, is an absolute post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland that hasn't won an sec game since 2017.

One loss big 10 team will not get in over a 1 loss LSU team if that loss to bama. It really don’t matter anyway because Oklahoma and Clemson will not be undefeated.

You know, last time Bama/LSU rematched they expanded to playoffs shortly there after because it pissed off the other part of the country. If it happens again, then they might just expand again. While I don't think playoff expansion is necessary, it does mean more good football and I'm down with that.

This is like the 3rd or 4th time I've seen this.

We all know this stands to be GOTC pt. 3 for Bama vs LSU, right?

I mean, January 9, 2012 was a thing. We weren't all black out drunk, were we. I swear it happened to the tune of 21-0. It kicked off an 8-0 run and was the first of 3 shutouts.

I feel like this rings a bell to some.

Agreed. Barring chaos there are going to be numerous undefeated conference champions.

OU, Clemson, Ohio State all have a very high chance to run the table and finish undefeated. That would block out any backdoor opportunity.

I do not think that there’s any way a 1 loss non-SEC champion gets into the playoffs this year. OU and Clemson will not lose a game. A 1 loss/undefeated Big 10 champion would get in as well as the SEC champ. No spot for the SECW runner up.

Wrong, Bama will make it regardless of that game if they go 11-1... LSU needs to win out. We don't have blue blood privilege

We will have 3 top 10 wins and our loss would be to the number 1 team in the country. LSU will be the first one lost team in the playoffs regardless.
