4 first rounders at his disposal, and the best he can do is a Citrus Bowl berth against a middle of the pack Big 10 team. That has got to be a tough pill to swallow for a1abana fans. (texag will be fine because swallowing is his thing)

Not only did he completely whiff of the playoffs, he couldn't even make the SEC Championship. Brutal.

Tough to watch when the great ones begin to tumble...

The team that made the SECCG had 5 first-rounders, which is more than 4, so tip the cap to a great team and move on.

Imagine going 39-4 in a three year stretch with a Sugar Bowl win, an Orange Bowl win and a national title/SEC title and having people say "you're not as good now."

Saban sucks.

Notice that all four were on offense. I assume you watched at least one Bama game this year, so you're well aware our problems were not on that side of the ball.

Why imagine it? You're living it.

So what I'm hearing you say is that the man who was once considered to be one of, if not the best defensive minds in the game, is unable to coach up and prepare his defenses anymore??

He had 11 future first rounders on his 2010 team that went 9-3, four of which went in the 2011 draft (Julio Jones, James Carpenter, Marcell Dareus, and Mark Ingram).

8-1 ain’t perfect but it’s not bad either.
That would make your team 1-8
Corndoggie.

Injuries are the great equalizer. Injuries can cripple even the greatest of teams.

With no injuries the last 5 seasons, Bama likely wins the 16 and 19 National Championships to go along with their 15 and 17 National Championships.

I think he did a pretty good job with what they had. Show me another team in history that had more Freshman starting on defense that had a higher ranked defense.

Two of which were starting at the most important positions on a Saban defense.

With the recent gump threads and responses, you can definitely tell where reality is finally beginning to set in for them a little. Saban is past his prime, and LSU just hit its stride. LSU's trajectory is still clearly trending up, while Bama will slowly slip further from the top. It's a lot of fun watching some of them cling to the past now, though.

There were 11 future first rounders on 2010 Alabama, a team that finished 9-3 in the regular season, and put four players in the first round of the draft that spring. One of those losses was by two touchdowns to a South Carolina team with five losses that barely finished the season ranked in the Top 25.

With the way we're continuing to recruit, I'm sure we'll be fine going forward.
