When your football team has more wins at your opponent's home field, than your opponent has wins in the series.

Some numbers: 54-26-5, 29-9-2

It may not be a rivalry but it's clearly on your mind. on January 25th.

You know it’s a rivalry when you have to post “it’s not a rivalry”.

It’s really not. It’s not remotely competitive.

If you have to post a thread about it's not a rivalry, it's a rivalry.

It's definitely a rivalry, but it's relatively new and its staying power is tbd. It's a rivalry that has come into being because the two teams have played a lot of high stakes games recently and it could fizzle out if there's a long period with no high stakes games.

This, and this is the same reason Alabama/Tennessee became a rivalry but has lost it's fizzle with the younger crowds because Tennessee has been so bad now for so long.

I don't know what to call the LSU/Alabama game, but this notion that the series record has to be closer to call something a rivalry is just silly. Some of the more historical and oldest rivalries in college football have series records that aren't even close.

It’s a rivalry of late and a good one. I look forward to this game more than the Tennessee one
