Because, the truth is that nobody really thinks Mac is that good. They think Burrow made plays under duress and with his feet that Mac didn’t have to make. Anyone with eyes and a brain already knows this. So, Burrow shined because he had to make athletic plays to win. Mac just had to throw the ball in a general direction, and Devonta made plays.
Chase is clearly believed to be a transcendent talent, because he’s likely to go ahead of Devonta in the draft. But nobody looks at Mac like they looked at Burrow... except for delusional Bama fans.
