I would have to agree, he's pulling in some nice recruits as well. They are #3 right now on Rivals. Definitely not something I was expecting to see.

Got to ask what people are basing this on. Was it going 3 and 5 in the SEC? Losing to the worst UGA team this decade? Losing to UK at home for the first time in my lifetime?

I think Malzahn is a good coach. I'm not sold on the defense or their schemes

My opinion is based on the fact that Auburn has made noticeable improvement with a somewhat bare cupboard of talent

Thats a horrible comparison but I do actually like Chizik. Hes passionate and put together some really good gameplans. Auburn had no business being on the same field as Bama this year and he nearly pulled of a miracle.

What? So all these people are saying this because of what NMFS did his first year at UA? When Chizik finishes no better than 3rd in west next year will they point out how mediocre he is because he can't live up to NMFS success?

Why is it horrible? Chizik did a great job with what he had leftover from Tubs. Anyone that says this wasn't a surprising year from Auburn is a jackass.

The 2 programs were in completely different situations when the 2 coaches took over. Chizik has done a heck of a job for his first year but for his sake, ya'll dont need to start comparing him to Saban in any manner
