Is Vanderbilt about to be hosed out of the CFP in maybe their only chance ever to make it?

Heisman invite likely coming for the QB, only 2 losses on the road at Texas and Bama, wins (at the time) over 4 top-20 teams, etc. Just bulldozed Tennessee in Knoxville, so they're trending up which the committee cares about.

Notre Dame hasn't beaten anyone of note besides USC, has same number of losses, and sits ahead of 2 loss Miami who they lost to. So Miami might have a better case of a screwjob than Vandy, but both seem ridiculous.

lol @ them not voting in Notre Dame

They could probably have two more losses and make it in somehow

They are. It sucks. I feel bad for them.

However, foregone conclusion just like Ole Miss. They might’ve pulled one playoff upset, but that team does not make the final (much less win it).

If I'm Miami, and I get left off, I fricking riot. Same record, essentially same SOR and SOS, and Miami won the head-to-head.

Outcome on the field should carry the weight here.

You don’t wanna see Liberty City or Opa Locka riot. We talking Los Angeles 1992 era 2.0

South Carolina is 4-8
LSU is 7-5
Tennessee is 8-4
Missouri is 8-4

They lost to the only good teams they played.

Notre Dame has two losses by a combined 4 points to to top 10 teams, and they have blown out everyone else on their schedule. USC is ranked #17, Navy #23

I get how Vandy would and maybe should feel slighted, but when you have so many 2 loss teams, SOS and ranked wins are going to typically be the deciding factor. You can't just give them credit for beating teams with high preseason rankings who didn't end up being good.

IF Bama loses, which I think they will, they'll probably get in with 4 other SEC teams.

Vandy is not in. But to make matters worse, without egregiously poor officiating that helped OU and then Bama beat Auburn, Vandy is in.

It's going to be funny when Vanderbilt gets to the playoff before LSU.
