Is this the worst year of SEC officiating?

I've seen bad but this year is terrible. The replay officials just need to be fired.

It isn’t just SEC. In the Duke Clemson game, a ref called targeting on Clemson when all he did was hit the Duke guy’s helmet on the back WITH HIS HAND as he was leaping past.

It's not just the officials, but whoever is sitting in the replay booth is blowing it as well.

Let’s see where are all the Bama fans to say:

The calls are all correct, your eyes are bad.

If it was that bad the schools would do something about it but haven’t.

It has been horrendous.
As bad as the calls against State in the Bama game were, the officiating in the State/A&M game were atrocious. Those horrible calls didn't favor either team, but they were just terrible.
I think the SEC should demand that all refs resign and re-submit a job application if they want to continue to officiate. Each application should be reviewed by a neutral body before any are approved.

maybe the officiating is not 'bad'. bad would mean that the officials are trying to get it right and are incompetent. but if the officials are PURPOSEFULLY influencing the games to achieve a certain outcome, then they are doing a GOOD damn job. the Vandy gift win tonite was clearly decided in the SEC offices, for revenue generation. many more games earlier this season had similar results.

Personally, I think every SEC official should be forced to take a polygraph. Just a few questions like have you ever bet on a game you officiated. Have you ever intentionally threw a flag or called a penalty while knowing it was not the correct call etc.
I'm serious, in fact ,if you made it mandatory that all officials take a polygraph, half would quit their jobs. ...and maybe work at Walmart as a greeter.

Yes! We now have a definitive year when SEC reffing started going downhill. According to LSU fans, it was good when they last beat Bama but it has gotten worse and worse with each year that they have lost since then.

Well since the reply booth is overseen by bama grad, REC member (Shaw) and run by bama dad (Ritter) and admitted lifelong Bama fan. So you would be asking them to admit they themselves suck

Steve Shaw sucks. He is the head of these garbage officials so I say let's start with firing him. I don't care where he graduated. Let's get somebody in the position that holds these guys accountable for sucking at their job.
