Probably so. With Jimmy Johnson, Bill Belicheck, and John Gruden literally beating down the doors to become the next head coach, I don't see how Long keeps him around.
Wouldn't it be great for our fan base to mature to the point that a bunch of them aren't calling for his head, and putting ads in the newspaper after a disappointing season?
We play in a conference with Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee, in a division with Alabama, LSU, Auburn, and now aTm. There are going to be disappointing seasons. I'm not saying give up, just grow up a little.

Well, if none of those 4 work out, there's always Tony Dungy, Pete Carroll, Tom Herman, Dan Quinn, and Andy Reid. Long just needs to pick one, and send the rest home. I hope none of them commit suicide when they don't get the job.

I hope not. If the rest of the West is lucky, he'll go 8-4(4-4) and your AD will another 4 year extension. Last I saw his recruiting class was 11th in the SEC, behind Kentucky.

At this point he is more likely to get fired after an 8-4 season than an extension, at least if Jeff Long likes his job.

Don't flatter yourself.. Out of our 6 losses, the LSU game was probably the least embarrassing.
