Is there really a clear cut #1 at this point?

FSU looked underwhelming.
Oregon also doesn't look dominate.
Oklahoma.. eh.
Bama has talent and potential, but still a lot of mistakes made.
Auburn has shown flashes, then you had the KState game.

I think you could make a case for any of those 5 at being #1 right now. I also think you could make a case for any of them being ranked 2-5 as well.

1. Bama
2. OU
3. FSU

Bama will lose a game (or two)

OU wins out

FSU sux with no JW and Fisher won't sit him again

Agree Hunter, nobody has looked unbeatable.

Completely agree. No one looks like the "best team in the country". FSU only gets the nod because of what they did last year. If we had a truly clean slate they'd be around 15.

No there is not a clear #1 as in years past but that's not really the point anymore. You just want to be the clear "in top 4" and win your conference

And to say FSU was underwhelming is a reach. They were without jameis and had to plan in short time without him. Also against a very good opponent in Clemson.

I don't think you have a clear top 4 right now either. There's a couple of more teams that an argument could be made for them to be in.

I agree. Anyone not looking through biased eyes would see that the field is wide open. As you said if you took those 5 teams and pulled out 1-5 raffle style, no one could really argue at the outcome. It's going to be a pretty crazy year, I think. I don't see the SEC coming out with an unbeaten team.

To your dismay, Bama will lose a couple of games this year. I've seen nothing to make me change my mind. I think Miss St, Ole Miss, and A&M will beat Bama!

I watched them against Okie St too. (ND may beat them this year)

Well what are they gonna do the rest of the year without Winston?

Really hoping Notre Dame and FSU drop a game somewhere this year besides the one they play against each other. If they make the playoffs it will be ugly.

Generally agree. Maybe Karma will step in and Jaboo will get a severe groin pull.

No, I said this last night. It has been a long time where there isn't a clear cut powerhouse. Every team in the top 10 have shown weaknesses. It is turning into a real fun year of CFB.

A&M has looked the best of any team so far in owning a SC team on the road. We know FSU's issues with that dumbass Winston. Oregon has lost 2 starting OL. OU looks good but vulnerable on defense. Bama looks better but also a bit slack on defense. KState proved that a solid front 7 can handle Malzahn's offense. Marshall appears to have a weaker arm than I thought and pretty underwhelming as a passer. Georgia as expected has serious issues in our Secondary and on the OL. Mason is a very average QB.

Vandy looked good against SC, just saying.

Top 5 nationally in total defense, top 10 in scoring defense. There's a few issues, but I'm feeling a lot better about the D.
