His whole family is from Ohio if I remember correctly. They have absolutely zero ties to Louisiana or LSU other than living in Shreveport for two years.

Dude you obviously never saw Brennan play in HS. First off talent wise Brennan can’t hold Patterson’s jock. Secondly, Brennan needs to put on 30-40 LBs of good weight to make it through an SEC schedule.

Matt Flynn was good and winning a national title puts him in legendary status. Jamarcus was awesome but being fat, lazy and on purple drank has lowered his status. Plus the Bama boy chain didn't help.

It's a little worse than that.
His dad is an old Ole Miss fan, and wanted all his kids there. Freeze offered his brother a job to swing Shea to Ole Miss, and his brother even tried to steal LSU's playbook on the way out of the AD.
