Is there a media bias toward offense over defenses?

I’m looking at analyst Pick teams, playoff favorites, etc and see a team like Oklahoma get a bunch of love for their offense. However their defense has been wrecked multiple times this season. Then you take a team that wins a game by a similar margin but only scores 17-24 pts and all you hear about is “I have questions about their offense”.

Is it just me or do people vastly over look bad defenses when looking at deserving teams and but too much stock in offense?
