Is there a chance Georgia has the classic Ohio State problem?

In seasons past, Ohio State looks great in the regular season, playing cupcakes week after week. They easily make the playoffs, then get beaten unconscious usually by an SEC team in the playoffs.
This happened frequently, and my Ohio State friends finally admitted that the Buckeyes weren’t battle tested because of their soft schedule.
Any chance that weak SOS comes back to bite them?

I don’t know about UGA, but OSU would probably score 55 points at least on LSU’s defense this year. Hell the shitty gators were scoring at will up until the end

Clemson plays a weaker schedule than OSU every year and has routinely been better equipped for the big stage in the Playoff era

UGA played a top 10 team in week 1. Won 49-3.
We play a top team this weekend.
If UGA wins they'll play a top 10 team in the SECCG. I think all of those teams will be top 10 by the time the season ends.
3 top 10 teams in a season is a hard enough schedule for any team to be tested and ready for more top 10 team in the playoff.

No, Georgia beat a top 10 team by 46 points and they’re about to beat “#1”.

Jesus Christ the revisionist history you’re spouting. Once by Alabama in the playoffs. Once against Clemson, then a great game against Clemson they lost then an arse-kicking of Clemson. Learn your facts before you start spouting them.

Exactly. And the winner of OSU/Michigan would have faced that many if either win out. Clemson, OTOH, will be beating Syracuse and NC State and UNC, and a bad FSU team claiming they beat the NFC East

Didn’t UGA beat the last SEC team they faced in the playoffs?

Really?
If Ohio State beats Michigan, that would be one top 10 team. Who would be the other two for OSU in that scenario. Maybe PSU climbs back in, but do you think Illinois can?

Ohio State has lost to an SEC opponent exactly one time in the playoff. Lost to Bama once and beat Bama once.

I’m not saying it’s correct but Notre Dame was ranked 5 when OSU beat them. And ND is bad by their standards but they’ve beaten the brakes off teams they shouldn’t have. Like Syracuse, BYU and North Carolina. Ironically those were all road games. They’ve been arse at home.
The win against Penn State (they were 13) and probably a ranked Maryland in a few weeks. And then Michigan and then Illinois. I’m not saying it’s the hardest schedule; I’m not that naive. But it’s not nearly as bad as what Clemson faces, or Michigan’s OOC for that matter.
Fun Fact: Michigan cancelled a scheduled game with UCLA this year to sub in Hawaii. That’s pretty fricking bad bruh.

After this weekend we will have played and beaten two top 10 teams. It’s only game 9. By the time we make the playoffs we will have another on there. Who else will have anything close?

Agreed. Georgia will have been tested. Plus defending champs. You should smoke the Vols. They haven’t seen a legit defense. Serious question: How is the fanbase handling the loss of Nolan Smith? Is the backup ready to step up and be serviceable?

I feel bad for him as player. He seemed to enjoy playing for UGA. He looks like he’ll be a big loss in terms of not just ability but leadership.
His backups are Chaz Chambliss and Robert Beal.
Beal led the team in sacks last year and is a 5th year player. But you can’t replace Nolan for leadership on the field. Chambliss is a second year guy who hasn’t played a ton.

Oh... I'm not talking about rankings at the time played. I'm saying UGA if they win out is likely to have beaten three teams that end the season in the top 10.
If Bama wins the regular season and then loses to UGA for their second loss, they'd be top 10.
If UT loses to UGA and wins out or even drops a second game, they'd be top 10.
Oregon will definitely be top 10 if they finish with 1 loss and likely would with 2 as well.
UGA's schedule at season end if they win all their games would have more top tests than anyone else in most years. Rarely do teams have 3 top 10 wins before the playoff.
If they then won the playoff, they'd have 5.

OSU is 3-3 in the playoffs (1-1) in Championship, how is this getting beat delirious? Their 3 losses, 1 was when they got in because PSU had 2 losses , Bama killed everyone in 20, they lost to Clemson in 19 by 6 in basically the last play after getting hosed on calls most the game..
Meanwhile their wins included 2 boat races.
Get your SEC glasses off.

Marvin Jones Jr will get some run on Saturday. 5 star true freshmen. Would have gotten time against the Gators but he was recovering from the flu.
