#Colorado coaching search seemingly in the final stretch. Should have a hire here shortly. The school interviewed #Giants assistant Bret Bielema and #RollTide OC Steve Sarkisian this week, according to sources. #AirForce coach Troy Calhoun reportedly in the mix, too. — Adam Rittenberg (@ESPNRittenberg)

We’re hiring Joe Brady by all accounts. He’s excited to get a job where the title matches the job duties

Troy Calhoun has been offered CU job per sources. They're just waiting to see if he accepts.

Troy Calhoun....Who runs the AF triple option. Odd hire if it happens.

I doubt he'd run it if he gets the job. He has pro experience so he'd tailor the offense around what talent CU has

Calhoun would know most of the HS coaches in the state so that would help in recruiting. Seems like it would be hard to turn down unless he's just happy at AF.

Yikes. Pretty clear Sark wants out of there.
He interviewed for State and Colorado.
And both told him no

Aranda wanted out pretty bad too. Was even willing to go to USC as a DC.

Yikes. He was a top target for each job. Coaches routinely interview even if they don't intend to take the job.
You don't know that's common in the industry? Yikes.
Head coaches are clawing to just be an analyst on Alabama's staff to learn under Saban. Yikes.
O doesn't have that reputation in the industry b/c he's seen as a cartoon character. Yikes.
O was seen as the beneficiary of his assistants, not the other way around like Saban. Yikes.
O can only attract position coaches who leave to take lesser jobs. Yikes.

Aranda stayed for 4 years and took over an 11 win/Top 15 team. Barkisian has been in Buttscaloosa for 1 year and got rejected by a 6-7 team and a 5-7 team!
The biggest of yikes!

Leaving for USC was an option. Wow. That’s got to hurt. Anything to get away from the one hit wonder.
