Is Ole Miss vs A&M not happening?

I know I got canceled two weeks in a row so I’m just curious because it looks like we’re playing LSU on the 19th and A&M is playing Tennessee and everyone keeps saying it’s the last game of the season so does that mean that there’s no way we’re gonna play each other or is that still gonna happen?

Don't think so. There aren't any extra weekends left and we can't play too close to bowl season.

Had two shots at it. Each team had Covid concerns. Sucks but it's been amazing we have had the amount of games as we did this year. Full SEC schedule has been awesome.

Which is stupid. All they talked about was flexibility when it comes to scheduling. SEC office screwed this one up.

They allowed for two extra weekends after the season was over. Can't drag the season out forever and need to play bowl games

Yep, and in this case all the flexibility has been used. Almost every SEC game has been played. I'm only aware of two that had to be cancelled, which is pretty damn good. Unfortunately this game is one of the two that just couldn't happen.

It sucks. Would have been a very fun game.
If the CDC had changed their quarantine recommendation from 2 weeks to 1 week (with a negative test) just a couple of weeks earlier, we could have played yall the first week.
We had two players test negative right before traveling to USC, then test positive right after returning. So like 20 players sitting near them on the plane (including Mond) were forced to quarantine for 2 weeks. Not a single one of the quarantined players ever tested positive. Contact tracing killed the game.

Was really looking forward to that game to help get a better measure of our defense. And the running game on the other side of the ball
I don't think it is a coincidence that the A&M defense greatly improved after Alabama exposed some of our weaknesses in the secondary
