Matt Simms is 10 times the player Peterman is.

It was hard to get mad at spencer Pennington, he was 3rd string to begin the year.
Avalos was the worst QB that ever started a game for Bama I can remember.
We had a couple guys that were terrible who were week 1 starters. Danny Woodson and John David Phillips come to mind.

For what it is worth I thought his coach threw him to the wolves. He may never recover. The whole first half was a comedy of errors by both squads. How can Florida not have better QB's when they recruit in that state?

Hard to say after one start. Here are some that did suck over the long haul.
Marc Guillion-
Spencer Pennington
Vince Sutton
Joe Sullivan
Sol Graves
Jesse Daigle
John Brantley
Don Jacobs
Marlon Adler-pre SEC Mizzou
Lex Smith
Donald Douglas

Michael Henig, Ethan Flatt and Andrew Hatch have to be mentioned. Maybe Brian Sparacino too.

Since 2007, the worst QBs in terms of QB rating, which requires a player to play in at least 75% of his teams game that season, are:
1. Larry Smith - Vanderbilt, 2009 - 88.0 rating, 106/227, 46.7%, 1126 yards, 4 TDs, 7 INTs
2. Morgan Newton - Kentucky, 2011 - 93.1 rating, 83/174, 47.7%, 793 yards, 8 TDs, 7 INTs
3. Larry Smith - Vanderbilt, 2010 - 94.3 rating, 117/247, 47.4%, 1262 yards, 6 TDs, 5 INTs
4. Kodi Burns - Auburn, 2008 - 97.65 rating, 94/179, 52.5%, 1050 yards, 2 TDs, 7 INTs
5. Jaylen Whitlow - Kentucky, 2012 - 99.5 rating, 87/161, 54.0%, 801 yards, 3 TDs, 2 INTs
Larry Smith is the obvious winner.

It would be difficult to have worse stats than he had in Saturday's game.

Nathan Peterman’s passer rating against Florida was an almost unheard of 3.8...The 5th worst since 2000...
1 Michael Harrington... 2002-11-16... Idaho @ Arkansas State...PR... -14.8
2 Ryan Cubit... 2001-11-03... Rutgers @ West Virginia...PR... -12.4
3 Caleb Herring... 2011-10-08... Nevada-Las Vegas @ Nevada...PR... -2.3
4 Russell Bellomy... 2012-10-27... Michigan @ Nebraska...PR... 1.2
5 Nathan Peterman... 2013-09-21... Tennessee @ Florida...PR... 3.8
The QB with the -14.8 rating went 4for14...23yds...5int.'s
