Is Lane tough to work for?

I like Kiffin. I think he's a pretty popular guy in general and on this board.
But it's seems odd to have OC Jeff Lebby and potentially DC DJ Durkin leave for coordinator positions.
Same thing happened with Joe Jon Finley last year. Passing Game Coordinator/TE to Associate Head Coach foe the Offense/TE.
Or am I off base and these guys are expecting Lane to move from Ole Miss and they get left behind?

Lobby can do his own thing at OU. Offense is his thing there, unlike at OM were really his running Lanes offense.

He isn’t the most organized apparently. Some assistants like that while some others really like a structured schedule. Another reason he and Saban butted heads I’m sure. He’d also probably bend another coach’s wife over a barrel and show her all 50 states if given the chance.

In a bidding war who wins: A&M or Ole Miss? With all the money that's floating around College Station I'm sure Durkin will get top dollar.
I've never heard Lane is tough to work for. What I think this boils down to is Lane identifies good coaches and other coaches trust his evaluations of coaches.

Well Lebby went to his Alma Mater. SO who wouldnt make that move. Plus he gets to go somewhere with a defensive minded HC. So he will get the credit and not Kiffin. No brainer there.
If Durkin leaves im assuming its money and getting to go coach a bunch of 5 stars.

Lebby is an OU grad and he gets to get out out of Kiffin's shadow for a year or two. Lebby wants the Ole Miss HC job if/when Kiffin leaves though.
I think Durkin is just about money/talent. Elko was getting 2.2 I think? Durkin is currently around 1.5 at Ole Miss I think. But Ole Miss and Durkin have been talking the last two days about a new contract for him so him to A&M is not done by any stretch, even though I do think it's where it ultimately ends up.

I can see that. But it still seems odd to have guys making somewhat lateral moves.

We won 10 games, and those were the coordinators that helped make it happen. You want people that other people want.

You also want to keep them unless they're getting HC jobs.

Farmer are y’all actively going after Durkin? Just now getting back and caught up.

That is the word on the street. I thought it would be reported by now.

Thanks. I found the earlier thread and I agree with you. It not being reported makes me think we (OM) are trying our best to keep him and having some success. Of course I realize y’all have the resources to pay whatever you want.

If you're a place like Ole Miss, you're going to see a bit of turnover after 10 win seasons. People are going to come calling. Just life in the big city.

He seems like a clown more suited to a coordinator position rather than the leader of program.

Probably. He is a prick and apparently a pain in the arse to everyone.
He’s was the hottest offensive name in football this past year.
LSU, Miami, USC, Oklahoma, Florida, Notre Dame, and Oregon all had openings this year, and he didn’t get a single interview.
Apparently his reputation for being a malcontent and his off-the-field antics scared away any potential suitors.

No
Ole Miss is not a destination job
Kiffin will bolt as soon as a bigger name calls
Kiffin realizes once LSU gets its act together they will be back
Auburn will be back and has better resources
Ark and Miss St are tough outs

Hard to argue with his results. 10 wins at Ole Miss is tough.

Oh really? I haven't heard anything of the sort.
He had issues with Saban but I imagine it's only because he was the first one with balls enough to stand up to Napoleon.
