I hate to say it, but I think you have to give this title to Mr. 2*: his numbers last season were insane considering he didn't play until the Kentucky game. Another season like that and he could even work himself into a high round pick in 2021. Mac Jones did well in his starts, but that's too small a sample and he may lose his job

If Trask stays healthy, Florida will be the team to beat.

I was pretty impressed with what he was able to put together considering his road to field time

I <3 Kyle Trask

Tough guy and really developed throughout the season. With UGA losing so many, starting a new QB, UF is in a great position to take the East IMO

Gators have to be the wildcard pick going into 2020 based on his potential .

Except he couldn’t score on UGA until the 4th quarter last year. I’m not sure what Florida has gained on offense that will help them against UGA’s defense this year.

He was certainly a good QB last year. It'll be interesting to see how well he copes with Van Jefferson and Swain graduating (not to mention Cleveland and Hammond). Perine was #3 in receptions out of the backfield and he also graduated. Losing 5 of the top 7 receivers on the team won't be easy to replace (but Pitts @ TE and Grimes @ WR are solid foundations to build on). Copeland was pretty good as a Freshman, so there's some talent there. Florida fans will have to tell us about incoming talent.

He loses a lot of experienced skill around him at WR and RB.

He played well. Even I have to admit that.

He's not without challenges this season, but he has a track record that most justifies high expectations. UF also benefits from the kind of continuity that most programs in the upper tiers will not.

Problem for them is their tough games are later in the season, so other teams will have months to work out the kinks, and that advantage will be diminished to some extent.

I say it's fair to expect a good season from Trask. He'll likely jump out to a statistical lead early in the season. If he continues that through October and November he has a good chance of getting an invite to NYC.

UF had the ball just 6 times against UGA last year. They scored on 3 of those possessions. If the defense could've gotten off the field, they would've scored more.

Think it’s at least 7. 3 scores, 3 punts and at least 1 turnover on downs. Mullens clock management in the 4th quarter seemed odd to me. A 17 play drive when down 2 scores doesn’t exactly scream urgency to me.

And if the refs didn't help UGA sustain drives. But yeah, our secondary that game was terrible.

UF drives -

1st - turnover on downs... after Mullen had a 3rd and 1 and UF was in UGA territory.
2nd - punt.
3rd - FG.
4th - punt
5th - TD
6th - TD.

UF just had the ball 6 times. Thats it.

Townsend is listed with 3 punts

Just found it. It’s downs, punt, punt, fg, knee to end the half, punt, touchdown, touchdown

Look at some of these throws. Mizzou actually had a good defense btw, their offense was just unspeakably bad
