How else can you explain some of the dumb in-game decisions?

He’s definitely hurting his stock with other potential teams.

Is he trying to get a buyout and just retire or go back to being OC?

Kiffin thought he was playing Madden 23, which is probably how he spends his mornings at the office.

Apparently this was a play-in bowl for the CFP

Are you implying that the regular season was different?

And you were the lesser team in it. Ponder that.

Yep. We lost a lot from last season including both coordinators.

We made some bad hires at those positions and it’s painful watching the play calls and schemes on both sides.

This wasn't the same message your fanbase was sending after week 7. Just admit that you had a collapse.

It’s pretty obvious that after losing to Bama and the chance to win the west he stopped caring about the season.

Calling plays “dicks out for Harambe” with no regrets.

Posted this in the other thread, but pasting it again here for discussion:

quote:

2-7 on 4th down conversions

1st Quarter
• 4th & 7 at TTU 28 - Jaxson Dart pass incomplete
-> TTU pass intercepted
• 4th & 1 at MISS 29 - Quinshon Judkins run for -2 yards
-> TTU TD
• 4th & 3 at MISS 47 - Jaxson Dart pass intercepted
-> TTU turnover on downs
2nd Quarter
4th & 1 at MISS 11 - Quinshon Judkins run for 3 yards
-> MISS pass intercepted

• 4th & 6 at MISS 29 - Dayton Wade run for 3 yards
-> TTU FG
3rd Quarter
• 4th & 1 at TTU 29 - Quinshon Judkins run for no gain
-> TTU TD
4th Quarter
4th & 5 at TTU 24 - Jaxson Dart pass complete for 23 yards
-> MISS pass intercepted

It appears that of the two 4th downs made, both Ole Miss drives resulted in turnovers, while the five 4th downs missed resulted in 17 Texas Tech points.

Coincidentally, the final margin of the game was 17 points.

I hate this excuse. You’re paid $9M+ to win every game you coach and take it seriously no matter the opponent.

They obviously visit the spirit and rebel grove more than our posters here do.

He is just showing the Bammers what to look forward to when he gets hired by them.

That would hold water if that wasn’t how he has coached the last two seasons. Going for it on 4th down every damn time screams he doesn’t have confidence in his teams and has led to more arse whippings than wins. It comes off as gimmicky

It does. It's also something he's gone on record as saying he will live and die by. For his and our sake I hope he becomes more selective on when to roll the dice in the future.

I think it screams he does have confidence. He thinks they can convert those plays. Unfortunately the coordinators on both sides of the ball are rather dumpy at the moment.
