Is Joe Burrow a System QB?

Don't get me wrong. I really like Burrow. I think he's a good QB in that system. But there's a reason he was about to be 3rd string at Ohio State when he transferred. And I don't mean that as a slight, I think it's that he didn't have the right system to thrive. A guy like Burrow needs an offensive system like LSU, Baylor or Washington St. if you want to get the most out of him.
I see a lot of Colt Brennan in him, with less size and maybe not as big of an arm.

All QB’s are system QB’s. Some have more freedom to create than others.

Honestly, I can't say that I know enough about the X's and O's to give you a good answer. I'm just enjoying the ride right now and hope it doesn't stop. :)

Ahhh I don't know. Drew Brees was pretty great with two different head coaches. Tom Brady has only had one head coach. Im not saying Tom isn't one of the greatest just saying there is more proof Brady is a system QB than Brees.

3rd string at Ohio State is not like other places though. They are usually stockpiled with QB talent. Cardale Jones was 3rd string in 2014 until injuries happened and he started in the Big 10 title game and they won 59-0 against Wisconsin. Then they put 42 on Bama in the playoff before putting another 40+ on Oregon with him to win the NC.
I hear what you're saying, but LSU's system isn't real crazy and doesn't involve throwing 60 times per game. He is just extremely accurate right now on everything he is throwing to the WR with anticipation before WRs even break on their routes. And LSU's passing scheme sucked last year, so it's much easier for him this year.

Tom Brady was 18 of 39 yesterday so he's not a system QB, he just always gets credit for the Pats greatness.

Then odds are.... that Garuntanalio, or WTF ever his name is, at this years dumpster fire school named Tennessee is actually a system QB. Just so happens, that system sucks.
