Is it wrong to be a Bama fan and still like Charles Barkley?

No.

Charles and Bo are the only two redeeming things they've ever had.

I don't have any issue with him.

He's hilarious and loves his school. I respect that. Too bad the rest of the barn can't be like that, especially Cutty Sark.

I love Charles, he just speaks his mind and doesn't care who likes it or not. Once he left Auburn I always pulled for him, just like Bo.

I got to meet Bo at the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame Banquet one year. He is a damn good man. No way anybody could not like that guy. I feel like Sir Charles is in the same league.

When Charles was a H.S. senior, He and Bobby Lee Hurt were the two big-name centers in Alabama H.S. basketball. Charles wanted to go to Alabama, but he wouldn't if The Tide signed Hurt. Hurt was the national pick, so Alabama signed him...the rest is history!

You should always like, admire, respect people because of who they are, not what the frick school they went to or any other such shite.

I think it would be really hard to dislike Barkley regardless of the Bama/Auburn rivalry. Dude is a national treasure. Funny as hell, speaks his mind, and doesn’t care what anyone thinks about it.

Barkley and Bo are my favorite Auburn guys. Respect for Coach Dye while I’m at it. Bryant loved him and dude could coach ball.

It was never his swing per se. He was a pretty good golfer years ago then developed that weird hitch when he’d get over the ball. It was all mental not mechanical. Can’t remember who his coach is but pretty sure he fixed that.

Bucket list is to have a beer with him some time at some random bar he frequents.

He has a house in B'ham, but when Auburn was playing in the Birmingham Bowl, he made a comment about getting a hotel so it "felt like a road game." Guy is genuinely hilarious.

True. It is. But still ... he's got some more work to do

Yeah my thoughts exactly. He probably felt like he needed to own his swing. And now he does. Not even Tiger can claim that.

Like Ben Hogan, Moe Norman but not quite the same results
