Is it weird that no one talks about Kansas and Missouri not playing anymore

It's the offseason. We cant go 10 days without talking about A&M and our previous conference mates, yet we dont come anywhere close to talking about Mizzpu and theirs. Why?
The Kansas/Mizzou rivalry was probably the biggest casualty of any annual game during the 2010/2011 conference realignment fiasco but it gets little to no attention when compared to A&M and our own now defunct games
Is this not weird? These arent two small irrelevant athletic programs in the big scheme of things. Kansas is one of the two or three preeminent basketball programs in the history of the sport. They literally have ties to people like James fricking Naismith and Wilt Chamberlain. And while Mizzou isnt on that level, they have a fine and proud basketball tradition. That was a legitimate big time basketball game. And sure, their football programs are what they are historically. But Mizzou was a legitimate strong program for a good 10 years there between the mid 2000s and mid 2010s. Hell, one of their games with Kansas was a top 3 showdown.
And furthermore, when compared to anything we had with UT, this was a much more balanced rivalry with equal interest on both sides. Both sides freely call each other their main rival, and for all the talk about how often A&M and UT played each other, the border war was literally the most played college football series when it was over. Also, unlike A&M and UT, there actually seems to be legitimate interest on both sides for continuing the series and both sides would benefit from doing so.
So with all of that said, I would like to ask the Mizzou and the handful of Kansas posters on here "what gives"? Why do we almost never here about yalls game being renewed during the offseason like we do between us and UT? Is there actually no interest? Cause it seems like this should be a way more prevalent topic than whatever gets barfed out every two weeks with us and UT
I get this is a long post but I'm legit curious

Just from looking at the title.
A&M has upside.
Missouri has the opposite of that.

Nobody outside the Big 12 even knew that Mizzou and Kansas were rivals because both are so irrelevant outside of KU basketball

*allegedly
We keep hearing about all their "potential", but we've yet to see any of it
A&M is just a poor man's UGA

So I guess it comes down to football vs basketball? Cause A&M has a pretty equal history in football as Mizzou does in basketball and kansas has a pretty equal history in basketball, if not a bit more, as UT has in football

Because the football programs of Missouri and Kansas suck and are un-watchable

The potential for 9 wins is there.

ku knows Mizzou would renew the rivalry anytime/ anywhere. Self, who is really the AD said no. That's where it stands. The state of Texas is closer to SEC country with more history with them than kansas and Missouri. Naturally there would be more talk about the Aggies and Bevo.

You sound like A&M fans.
"We want to renew the rivalry but texas keeps saying no!"

It's different due to the situation, Kansas refuses to play Missouri, not a lot Missouri can do about that.
You all refuse to play Texas, we can totally make fun of you for that.

Do you though?
Nobody cares about Mizzou/Kansas.
I can think of one year anyone cared and that was 2007 when both schools were highly ranked.

It's well known the offer is on the table. Quotes from Self himself turning it down.

It's more than that though. If you Google texas texas a&m rivalry you will find a bunch of shite from the past two or three weeks. If I did that for Kansas and Missouri, it goes back to like last summer

Has there been any real interest from Kansas at all in renewing the rivalry?
In all seriousness, it was a great rivalry. Just not one noticed outside the Big 8/XII.

I don't know about the Rant, but here in KC, in the heart of the old rivalry, people really don't care or talk about it. Our rivalry towards the end was getting pretty ugly so a lot of people are kinda glad we parted ways.

Im not going to read your mess dude, I don't care. You just never miss an opportunity to be an asshat when it comes to Mizzou.
