Not really. I dont see football players and coaches all wrapped up in it

I'm glad to see you think a university's sole purpose is to entertain you on the gridiron.

Also, that rapey booster has done a lot for your football program and coach:

ST Bunn Construction says it helped build Tuscaloosa’s Crimson Tide practice field, and the brothers belong to the booster foundation that paid for renowned UA football coach Nick Saban’s $3.1 million home. Flight records show the Bunn's private jet often touched down near Crimson Tide away games last fall.

Bringing up LSU in a topic about Alabama and Texas A&M is textbook deflection.

But I understand why you desperately want to change the subject.

What would you call starting a thread about a years old closed issue then?

I'm sorry, you must have missed how he is currently in the news. In fact, I believe he issued a statement. Today.

Deflect harder.

So a few thoughts where A&M was concerned. Every case referenced in the article the student was expelled or suspended. Several of the "perpetrators" including the swimming athlete actually sued the University for not being fair and automatically believing the women.

I don't see much in common with the LSU situation, as there is no active cover-up. I do believe that A&M was negligent. I also believe the policies were not strict enough, and Young (thank God that guy is gone) acknowledged that A&M had work to do there ...

I remember the Merritt incident well, and pretty much all of TexAgs thought he should have been expelled the first time. A&M did get it right eventually, but needed some help - probably because the kid was a football player.

So where exactly is the attempted cover-up?

The Bunn guys is a scumbag and its a terrible story but it really doesn't even remotely involve the University. He was a non-student who assaulted the student off campus. It was Tuscaloosa PD and the local DA who punted on that deal. The University had nothing to do with it in actuality......other than the Bunn family is a major booster with ties to UA through building projects.

Just what do you think that graphic says?

We've already covered that those statistics are largely meaningless because so many sex crimes are never reported.

But for argument's sake, let's say they are accurate.

Take note that those are just the statistics for the women.

You can ask your friend Kaiser Soze to explain if you are having difficulty understanding the concept.

I have a hunch he would say that they were quite remiss in not surveying the sheep.

Lots of deflecting. No remorse in this thread. Sad. A lot of us at LSU believe guilty parties need to pay. Punishment for us be damned. Surprised by some of these responses smh.

The "we're all allowing/covering up sexual assault" argument is not the right choice here.
