Is it going to be a 9 game conference schedule for SEC?

I think it will remain at 8 after OU and Tex join. Why add a loss for half the conference?
Sure others have 9 games in conf but with expanded playoff why bother?

Because a lot of times will be adding wins by playing OU and texas.
And more money. The all SEC covid schedule was awesome. It’s hard for OU fans to comprehend an exciting schedule of good teams throughout the schedule.

Really enjoy those 77-0 conference games....
Hey stupid , math is not taught at Aggie land , but half the conference will have one more loss if you add one more conference game......except the Aggies which said they automatically forfeit the 9 th conference game due to fatiigue.....

Wow, that was an incredibly bad response on your part. How embarrassing.

What kind of response is this? Are you 12?

Is the not so Big12 really that bad? I mean sure they are no longer a P5 conference but dang.
The nine conference games will allow teams to rotate through the conference more frequently. That and it increases the TV money because of more product to sell. Since the playoff’s have cheapened the regular season a loss no longer puts you outside the title race looking in and the expanded 12 team playoff means a 2-3 loss SEC team can still get in.
It’s not like the not so big 12 where every loss is a bad loss.

Hey retard the Big 12 plays a 9 game round robin in football and a double round robin home and home in other sports....the SeC has a 8 game conference schedule forever to prop up rankings with weak OOC and multiple byes...
It would be moving up in competition level for the sec to move up into a 9 game conference schedule like the big boys....l

But the teams are shite so any loss pretty much ends the title hopes for a not so big 12 team. I guess you missed that aspect. There are no losses in in the 12 that don’t hurt you. You are not going to beat an SEC team 77-0.

Ok math was optional at Tennessee also...l

i am ok with the 9 but one year each team will play 4 at home and 5 on the road. This will dip into income every other year unless they worked out a financial plan to compensate the teams who have the extra road game. I realize each year it will even out but most power 5 schools like Bama like to have 7-8 home games. Gotta buy chargers.

Losing to App St on your home field does not constitute A&M as a "good" team. You guys' are a notch below Texas Tech right now if still in the BIG12.

Having a loss or 2 when 12 make the playoffs will be okay.

Hey!!! Yet another dip shlt statement of the year award!
“Math is not taught in Aggie land”
Please explain how math is not taught in one of the countries finest engineering schools.
My recommendation… set the crack pipe down, go brush your tooth and find nourishment.

The SEC will do whatever they can to protect Alabama and Georgia and ensure they both get into the playoffs every year. Playing an additional conference game goes against that goal.
Gotta have that November game against west central Alabama.

If you're going to grow the conference, you need to grow # of conf. games.
I'll admit I was on the fence about doing 9 games @ 14 schools.

Maybe for you. But I missed the SEC-ACC in-state rivalries dropped that year.

ANY conf. game will give 1/2 the conf. a loss.

UGA too. Hince my confusion about scheduling:
4H/5A (7 Home games)
9 SEC games
GT (host)
G11 (host)
G12 (host)
5H/4A (7 Home games)
9 SEC games
GT (away)
G11 (host)
G12 (host)
WHAT school(s) are going to schedule with NO game played at their stadium?
