With all of these other coaches on the hot seat, I feel like everyone has forgotten about Mason.

Is his job safe? If yes, should it be?

Overall record 16-29
SEC Record 5-24

Safe for this year. If he has less than 5 wins next year, he's gone IMO.

He’s done a good job at Vandy. I root for him. That player trash talking Bama was his downfall this year

He peaked after that Kansas State game.

His homosexual nose guard hasn't tweeted since the Bama game.

Hes done one thing right, hes made vandy into at least a semi-competitive team. A team that if you over-look you will lose.

This. The lack of defense since the Bama game has been shocking. Bama clearly broke them.

If Tennessee wasn't such a horrific mess, a lot more people would be talking about Vandy IMO

Yes
Would be a good hire, I could see someone going after him, in a better situation he might be a really good coach, if Shaw leaves he would go back to Stanford in a heartbeat

I think so as he has them playing above average outside of the Bama game. they are and always will be a 500 or sub 500 team.

It's so irrelevant.

Franklin spoiled them. They expect bowls now.

He needs to keep them bowl eligible 3/5 years.

I could see some other school somehow spinning this as really good and hiring him away.

I'd prefer he stay. I just think in this era of CFB, unless you're saban. go with the offensive minded head coach that runs the spread.

He's not going anywhere this year. He can still easily get Vandy to a bowl this year if they can shore up the D somewhat.

If they continue to implode and next year isn't much better, then the murmuring will begin.

FWIW, if he continues to bring in the quality of recruits he has so far this year, this could end up being Vandy's best class in the "recruiting service" era.

That would help him out a lot, especially if they end up playing to their potential.

And Mason has been able to do that so fair. Such as Charles Wright being tied at 2nd in the conference in sacks as a former 2 star recruit.

I just disagree with you here.

That Ole Miss loss was bad. They are complete garbage, and anyone should be able to run the ball on them. Agree that Franklin did spoil them.

I also disagree. They're 0-5 in the league and their recruiting classes are getting worse each year:

Year: 247 Rank
2014: 46
2015: 46
2016: 54
2017: 62
