Was not a game manager under Gus. He would have been better off if he had been. He felt he had to win the game by himself and Gus's Offense and play calling hindered his ability.

As an Alabama fan, I’ve seen almost lifetime’s worth of game manager QBs but Mac Jones was not one of them. The entire playbook was open with Mac Jones on the field. Nothing was pared down or cut off the play sheet. He may not have an arm canon but he could execute the entire offense and was prepared to do it each game.
The college “game manager” type is really a tightly managed quarterback by the OC. I don’t feel like that was the case with Mac Jones. He may not be able to throw it 60 yards sitting on his arse but he was capable enough to run all the plays and he was mentally prepared to do it.

No I live on the West Coast on the 22nd floor. Most shite is still closed for another month. I just thought it was funny that someone who will go undrafted called a 1st round qb a game manager, and the AL WR's felt the same.
