I honestly do not believe college football will happen this fall. There are too many questions and issues that just don't seem to have answers. The thing that I always think of is what if a team has a bunch of players test positive after the season has begun? Does the whole team, coaching staff, support staff, etc. get quarantined for two weeks? What about the games missed during those two weeks? Furthermore, even if coronavirus is unlikely to kill a young, fit person, they still won't be allowed to play if they test positive. What if a team is missing 20 players going into a big game? They're just out of luck?

Just too many questions that don't seem to have answers, in my opinion.

We all watch for the players. You don't think the games will lose a smidge of the fun and excitement with empty stands? That's his point.

They played in front of hundreds in HS, so not enough for it to matter.

Such as wearing a mask? Only idiots resist helping the situation. Are you one of them? In before you make up a lie about a claim I never made.

Masks don't prevent anything. The particles it stops would only travel a few feet without the mask, and the particles that travel and stay in the air for minutes at a time aren't stopped by the mask.

Masks are the equivalent of a security blanket.

It’s not a realistic possibility from an economic standpoint to shite it down. This will ruin nearly all small athletic departments and don’t be surprised when it hurts some of the larger ones as well. You will lose at least most of the nonprofitable college sports. Besides how much better do you think the numbers are going to get when the temperatures decrease come November through January when conditions are optimal for the virus. The point is not that people will get the virus we know that will happen, it’s the fact this virus is being treated differently than other similar type viruses with a similar mortality rate. It does not make sense.

I’m worried it will be without fans.

I live in Little Rock, so I don’t make many Alabama home games anymore. So the games in Arlington and Fayetteville were on my list for this fall. I have not missed an Alabama game in Fayetteville since 2004. Will really suck to not be able to attend either.

The biggest problem with the virus is how short-sighted people are. We really don’t know how serious this is. What happens to people 5 years down the road? Does it affect reproduction? Will there be long term effects. Contemporary society has severe tunnel vision. It’s the everything now mentality. It’s like Bob Dylan said, “He who is not busy being born Is busy dying.” All we care about are the next thirty seconds.

I'm not worried about missing it since I've already braced myself for my team taking a knee and forcing me to give it up anyways.

I don't care about the fans being the in stadiums. Play the fricking games. Be safe. But don't screw this up. We need this. Watching from home is the new normal now. Hate to point this out, but corona-virus is the common cold. We are a long ways from beating that one. Deal with it. It's going to be around for a long damn time because they are inherently immune to our countermeasures. This one is bad. It won't be the last. We don't stop living because of that.

Yep, key word looking. Because now we know almost everyone is a carrier for it(most will never have symptoms) and you people will continue to perpetuate the fear/panic campaign as the perfect little sheep you were designed to be.

I wish you were in charge, but you are not

Instead we have all these state governors who have displayed time and again they will bend over to any regulation their neighbor does

Football season is NOT happening guys. Get the frick over it now before you end up melting in a month

I would rather cancel it all together than move it to the spring. That idea is ridiculous. If they move it to the spring how do they continue for the next season? It makes no damn sense.

A 2020 football season is as realistic as a visit from the Easter bunny. If you believe either one will happen, you'll be disappointed.

Not 100%, but They do limit the spread of the virus. We know that much.

Safe to assume you are one of the idiots who refuses to help us have a football season.

Yes indeed football is gonna die

Only insane greed has supported it

Greed monsters like Saban works politics to work against Bamas own states people with his push for democrats

And the nfl players having a life span of only 55 and the life long injuries .. the future of football ever coming back is dim

I’d want the season cancelled too if my team was Missouri.

"want the season canceled???"

Hell no I don't want it canceled. I just haven't seen or heard anything that makes me optimistic.

I agree with this point...pretty much over the whole "fear" of it all. Unfortunately, you will have to wait until Nov. 4th until all of the nonsense goes away.
