2009 they luckily blocked a Tennessee FG and got outplyed for 59 minutes by an 8 win AU team.
2011 didn't even win the west and needed a Iowa State team to beat Oklahoma State
2012 got beat inside BDS by johnny football and had the luck of one of those famous UGA choke jobs. Kansas State and Oregon both was 11-1 but Bama got in over them
2015 needed a lucky bounce onside kick to keep the ball away from Deshaun Watson
2017 didnt win the west again and needed a 2nd and 26 UGA choke job
So luck or greatness?

Do Auburn fans really just have sour grapes?

I imagine this thread will go about as well as doing anal with a chick with clostridium difficile colitis.

It’s not luck. It takes a very concerted effort for the REC to maintain this pay schedule. It’s called hard work, pal.

There's always a degree of luck involved when you have that much success, to say otherwise is just arrogant.
But its not possible to have that much success and sustain it at an elite level over such a long period of time and have it be JUST luck. To suggest that is 100x more stupid than to say there was none.
But I will say that Bama's dynasty had a huge outside boost right at the very beginning that doesn't get talked about and a positive impact on the start of their dynasty.
That's the media coverage of Saban and Bama. Right from Day 1 ESPN and all the sports media outlets, and all the local media immediately anointed Saban as the savior, immediately proclaimed Bama as back. People get annoyed by how the media blows Saban and Bama now, but it was just as bad if not worse at the start when everything was still new. Everything that Saban did, every single recruit that committed, it was all over covered and ESPN was basically just 24/7 coverage of giving Saban blow jobs.
We all know Saban is probably tGOAT, but I think even the most homer of Bama fans will admit that Saban wins by having more talent than anybody else, and that what makes Saban elite is his ability to stockpile all that talent.
Thats why it was so huge that the media immediately created that perception for Saban and Bama. There's no telling how much of an instant impact that had on the recruiting trail and how much faster that allowed Saban to build his powerhouse.

All sports require luck, but I don't think you can do it so many times in such a short period and still consider it luck.
And when I say I don't think you can, I'm saying you're stupid to call it luck.
Luck is Muschamp's 2012 team.

No. It's greatness. You have to put yourself in a position for luck to come into play.

I didn't even notice the trophy replacing the ball until I posted. It was a nice surprise.

An auburn fan bitching about somebody having luck...
IRONY...
To answer u no. Luck carries u through a game and as u know, a season, luck is not sustained over a decade. And this isn't the first time Alabama's been good in football for an extended period of time.
