C’mon sidewalk... that’s in Louisiana... and that illustrates one of the reason LUSers are so certain that Alabama is their big rival... LUSers only talk to or listen to each other.

LSU fans had nothing to do with Alabama making 5:1 topics about LSU over Auburn during the Iron Bowl.

Bammers can downvote, deny, and justify it all they want, at least on this site, LSU is on the Bama brain quite a bit.

For instance, you, yourself rarely ever comment on this site unless it's something related to LSU.

You don't have to like or agree what I've said here but again, if everyone is being honest with themselves, they know its true

You single handedly make more topics about Alabama than their entire fanbase makes about L1U.

No. We are just the biggest/most consistent threat to potentially unseat them in the west every year.

You've won one game in the last nine. I don't think you understand the meaning of "consistent".

Ole Miss has beaten us more often than you have during that time span.

Let that sink in for just a moment.

Alabama is the greatest college football program of all time and it isn't close. They have lapped the field at this point folks.

LSU is a big game on the schedule every year. Every Alabama football game is a big game though. It's what comes with being KING.

We dominated you before Nick Saban. We dominated you while you HAD Nick Saban.

Francione won 31-0 over Nick Saban.

LSU is our bitch.

Saban was 4-1 vs Alabama when he was at LSU.

Lately, yeah. I guess. 9 out of 10 suggests otherwise. The lopsided win/loss record also suggests otherwise. Auburn has a much higher winning percentage against Bama.

While Bama was crippled by sanctions. 21 scholarships over 3 years.

Congrats on your high point.

Everyone in the sec west is a rival. Some are just more heated than others on most years. I can’t think of one west team that I wouldn’t call a rival

Every SEC team is a rival of every other SEC team

However

Auburn is Alabama's main rival (self explanatory)

Tennessee is Alabama's storied rivalry, honored and respected. However Fulmer changed that, and it will take a LONG time for it to go back

The rest of the west is pretty much equal as Alabama plays them every year.

The open date was before the Auburn game, but due to the date, it was one week before the SECCG. Alabama and Auburn pushed the game back to give both of them an open date before that game.

Because Alabama wanted an open date in November, the SEC office made the week before the LSU game Alabama's open date.

Grievous Angel makes a low IQ, false statement:

TigerLunatik disproves the low IQ, false statement:

quote:

Grievous Angel quickly deflects from its false, low IQ statement:

Congrats on your high point.

Just posting for posterity to use when you deflect from one of the many L1U scandals ongoing. I'm sure it won't take long.

All SEC teams are rivals. As has been said, for many teams, playing Alabama is like playing the National championship: they bring their A game.

Alabama has by far the richest football tradition in the SEC

Years ago the sports writers crowned national champions with multiple teams winning 10 regular season games and a bowl game. The media favorite was National Champion by the AP poll and while got it close they missed the truly best team too many years.

Since undisputed champions have been decided with the BCS and now the college football playoffs we have a better system of who the best college football team is.

LSU has 3 titles
Alabama has 6 titles
Multiple teams have 2 titles

So LSU in the modern era of undisputed champions is right behind Alabama and while not a rivalry game to some it is the best and hardest game for Alabama most years.

LSU is more like the dog humping the Alabama leg.

Yea we do tend to hump that Alabama leg but often enough we stick it in your girlfriends vagina and totally screw up your season. Even if we lose Bama has a letdown and loses to an inferior Auburn team.

I would argue that the modern era started in 1992 with the formation of the Bowl Coalition (which was the first iteration of what would become known as the BCS). It was designed to get us an undisputed champion. Since 1992, the following programs have won three or more national championships:

Alabama - 7 (1992, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2020)
Florida State - 3 (1993, 1999, 2013)
Nebraska - 3 (1994, 1995, 1997)
Florida - 3 (1996, 2006, 2008)
LSU - 3 (2003, 2007, 2019)

Even with LSU's national championship bling, I'd make an argument that they aren't even the second healthiest program in the SEC right now, much less college football. I believe Georgia to be a healthier program than LSU at the present moment.

I would argue this as LSU has won 3 of the last 4 games in the last decade. Georgia winning in 2013 and LSU winning the last 2 games in 2018 and 2019.

Georgia has recruited well and on paper is making a run and gaining on Alabama as is Clemson.

LSU is not in the tank and in better shape than you think but that's why we play the games as your head coach says.
