What’s the derivation of your user name? I would have thought a Bama fan would stay away from orange due to its association with Tennessee.

If either team fell into the cellar for a while, it wouldn't be a rivalry. They're just rivals due to circumstance currently

If, when I go back and visit friends in Alabama during football season, and any of them start to talk about LSU, I may get think about moving them from “opponent”to “important opponent.”
But truth is, almost no one in Alabama talks about LSU except during game week. Given that LUSers talk about Alabama 24/7/365, it is hard for them to comprehend that they just aren’t very important to Alabama.... but it’s true.
I’ve had young LUSers try to tell me that LSU has replaced Tennessee, etc. but most of them have never even been to Alabama, never talked football in Alabama... and given the state of public school education in LA., most couldn’t find Alabama on the map. Hell... most LUSers don’t know that Alabama is a bigger State, or that Birmingham SMA is as big as New Orleans. That’s how cloistered most people in LaLaLsuLand are.
Oh well.... Oz is a strange place too...

Alabama fans made 5:1 topics about LSU as Auburn on the Score Board during the freaking Iron Bowl.

But it only happens here and it's mostly due to all the LSU fans on this site who talk trash. It's not really about Alabama vs LSU for those people, it's just about them trying to troll each other and other stupid shite.

C’mon sidewalk... that’s in Louisiana... and that illustrates one of the reason LUSers are so certain that Alabama is their big rival... LUSers only talk to or listen to each other.
