From an outsider like me, I find it interesting.

Since Arkansas joined the SEC, the conference champion/tournament champion has not featured Kentucky or Florida winning at least one of them.

2002: SEC - Alabama; SECT - Miss State

2008: SEC - Tennessee; SECT - Georgia

2009: SEC - LSU; SECT - Miss State

Either I have sleepy brain or there’s some words missing from that which would clarify exactly what you’re saying.

But, I’m gonna go with we threw a wrench in shite when we came so (I haven’t had much to pimp about lately so give it to me, people.)

There could be. Hopefully it makes enough sense to get what I am saying.

Perhaps this would be clearer

Since the SEC expansion in 1992 Kentucky or Florida has been the conference champion or tournament champion every year except:

2002
2008
2009

Since the Hogs fired Nolan they have not enjoyed M or W basketball success since. Sorta like the "Curse of the Bambino"

Hogs need to get their basketball houses in order so they can return to their former self. Nolan vs Pitino was a generation ago and this needs to return to a premier game.

The women have never really had a great program. Outside the one Final Four in the late 90's, it has never been a program to write home about.

The Mens program has been down, to our standards since Nolan left, but compared to the rest of the league outside of Kentucky and Florida, I would wager that Arkansas still ranks in the top 4 or so in the league in NCAA tourney trips and 20 win seasons. Again, that still hasn't been up to the programs historical standard, but well above average in the league.

Arkansas in the Final Four

1941 || Glen Rose
1945 || Eugene Lambert
No NCAA's for Askew (but only there 3 seasons)
No NCAA's for Waller (but only there 4 seasons)
No NCAA's for Van Eman (but only there 4 seasons)
1978 || Sutton
1990 || Richardson
1994 || Richardson
1995 || Richardson

(6) Final Fours with (4) different coaches for the Hogs

Since them:
5 years with Heath and 0 Final Fours
4 years with Pelphrey and 0 Final Fours
6 years with Anderson and 0 Final Fours

Just think if the wide usage of the net had been what 10 years earlier and we came into the league, won a natty championship the following year in one of the big 2 and then went to the championship game the next year- oh lord the trolling and trash talk and sailing that would have been done.

No, there haven't been any big tourney runs. My point was comparing the program to the rest of the league outside of UK and UF, it is still on par or above par even in what is considered down years for Arkansas basketball.

But you are missing mine.

Hogs, by historical standards, should be #2. The fact you now have UF ahead of them tells me they have fallen in national perception. I guess is if we return to the 90's and Hogs remain clear #2 then UF never gets going in the mid 2000's. This is why I bang my had, as I want a strong (see national power) Hog basketball team. Not one that is just in the upper half of the conference.

Yet you go on to list three times that it did...so that's why it's confusing.

I’d like to think that it was 50-50 Florida and Kentucky doing that, but I know better.

That’s why UK and UF are the big 2 in basketball.

It is confusing. Usually I’m better at explaining stuff better. It was a random thought that was poorly executed like OU against Georgia in the second half of the Rose Bowl.

you're having a bad day with the language man. it's not that you are incoherent, it's just that no one can understand what you're saying. either that "connector" from the brain to the mouth is broken or you are just fricked up (due to it being the week end and all). maybe you should just post less today. OR, what the hell, post more. who cares if no one can understand you?

Yall's shitty arse arena says otherwise.

Hell of a season this year too btw. Looks like you really hit the jackpot with Mike White (still don't really know who he is)
