but Peyton was the best, ever.

Not if we are just talking about time in college, specifically in the SEC. Can't ignore that for 4 years he could not beat Florida and watched as Wuerffel put up huge numbers and won championships.

Sure -- since Manziel threw for 107 less yards -- as a freshman -- than Peyton did in his senior (and best) campaign, while also leading the SEC in rushing. Manziel also:

-- led the SEC in passing yards/game and rushing yards/game

-- scored more TDs than Manning did in any season.

-- has a higher career passer rating, TD/Int ratio, completion % and average yds/attempt

-- rushed for more yards in every game than Manning did in any season -- or in his career

-- set the all-time SEC single game total yards record -- twice

-- won a Heisman.

Can't find any meaningful statistic that Manning amassed in a season -- or his career -- that Manziel didn't surpass as a freshman. So yeah, I can see putting Manning over him.

...and it's "wring," not "ring."

All good points...Manziel has another thing in common with Manning......They never beat Florida

You would think we don't like the guy or something

Qb- Danny Wuerffel. And yes he has the stats/accomplishments to back it up.

Can't argue with this. He was one of the greatest college passers ever. Too short and maybe not enough arm strength for pros, but he threw the best fade route I've ever seen.

Going by stats then David Greene would be #1 or close.

Oher gets a lot of undeserved press for his story. You have to think along the lines of Marcus McNeil, Max Jean-Gilles, Shawn Andrews, Andrew Whitworth, Luke Joeckel, Andre Smith, Chris Samuels, and that strata of player.

This, throw in Pouncey too.

That's actually a great list, you really can't go wrong with any of them. Which is why I'll just homer up and pick my hometown boy in Shawn Andrews. Quickest feet and fork in the SEC.

Neither Pouncey played tackle. One was a center the other a guard then moved to center.

I feel like I would be neglecting a lot of 90s players from non-LSU schools if I contribute, but I like a lot of names I've heard being thrown around. Nobody is wrong, really.

Mathieu deserves consideration as a CB/DB. He may be a complete frick up but every time he stepped foot on the field he was the most dangerous player out there.
