Yahoo! Sports has a multi-part story series titled, "Inside The Collapse of Florida college's Big Three", speaking of the Florida Gators, the FSU Seminoles, and the Miami Hurricanes.
In regards to FSU, they are in a terrible financial situation....FSU is in tons of trouble. They'd better hope Norvel works out.
A multi-part series, part 2 will be coming later.....
A must read: LINK

They are like UCLA desperately needing a Power 2 invite for an influx of cash

Can this be updated throughout the season as FSU and Miami try to get in the SEC while Florida burns down due to recruiting issues and having a low tier coach?
My popcorn is ready

Well I'll be damn-ed. An article that is both timely and well thought out. Unusual. upvote

Yeah, our admin are too busy trying to be the next “Stanford of the SEC”.
They see “5th Best University in the Country” and that’s all they care about.

Sorry #1 - Vanderbilt has already taken that title, Florida. Stanford athletics have no problem with academics, either. Plus, there's hardly a difference between ranking #5 and ranking #20.
Sorry #2 - Trust me, NObody else cares.

I should probably be more specific. Florida is #5 in “public” universities as Vandy is a private school. Whether or not you want to agree with that… well that’s just your opinion.

I would agree. Which should make wins over us more likely and more boring. You know, more like the wins you’ve been accumulating over Tennessee, GTech, and whatnot.
ETA: if Florida keeps going down that path, you should also know that they fans will also quit caring and the WLOCP will become the Worlds Largest Bulldog Circle Jerk. Sounds kinda gay to me, but at least I won’t be there.

All three were living off of prior goodwill and had terrible facilities and fsu is still fighting progress.
They all three were living on the fat from more successful times.

Scott Stricklin is destroying Florida athletics from the inside out.

I don’t care how bad the administrations are at those three schools, any of them will always be just one great coach hire away from killing it because of the depth of the talent pool down there.
However, they have all been messes of late. I think Miami’s the closest to turning it around.

Cristobal's recruiting acumen could bring them over the hump. But his coaching might prevent them from getting over it.
I think, at worst, his recruiting abilities alone could make him a good stopgap coach to put the next coach in position to go on a serious run.

I see they have a picture of that cheater punk Jeff Scott as Head Coach of USF in there. And he’s not mentioned in the article. A secret nod to the real ones that know… Clemson’s success outside of getting Watson and Lawerence was built on Clemson’s bagman operation from Tampa to Ft Myers over to Miami. It all started when WR coach Dabo Sweney pulled a miracle and got Spiller to be a Tater.

From your lips to God's ears. I think G5 Billy is going to finish off Florida. He brought wayyy too many coaches from ULL.

I was just in FSU practice facility yesterday. Seemed nice. Campus is pretty and Doak Walker looks nice from the outside. Granted, I don’t have much to compare it to and we only were in the practice facility and nothing else.

The facilities all look nice compared to high schools. Problem is, the recruits your chasing are seeing tajmahals and being told that is where they will spend the next 3-4 years of their life.

The rumors of our demise have been greatly exaggerated. Go Gators! Georgia still sucks!
