For South Carolina fans or other recent attendees, does anyone recall where the allotted tickets were located? I'm wondering if I should get tickets through Vandy or just buy them myself.

There isnt a bad seat in the house. You will either be on west or east side, I dont know whom home team is. Home is on west sideline.

Btw, welcome to shreveport

There are usually lots of LSU locals that tailgate for the indy bowl, stop by and get fed!

I should be out there at some point as well, check back closer to game day.

Who is it in the Independence Bowl? I might head up there to watch some football when that day comes.

We'll see what happens. It's an awkward conversation about whether we want to drive down from Nashville. Decent hotels are very reasonably priced. Being the day after Christmas and with flying in being rather expensive, the 8 hour drive is a sticking point.

Really? Define "close to the stadium." There are quite a few places with good approval ratings within like 5 miles of the stadium.

Alrighty. Thanks guys. Was looking at a good deal at a Holiday Inn Express on Interstate Dr. Thumbs up or thumbs down on the Bossier City area?

If you are in Bossier, you should be good. Pines Road or the casinos arent too far from the stadium.

Any recommendations as to which casino has the best hotel? Our priority is on cleanest rooms and proximity to bars and restaurants...

Thanks

E.T.A. Is parking first come, first serve for tailgating? And what is the best lot to hang out in before the game?

As a Shreveport resident and annual ticket holder I suggest you just get the the cheapest ticket you can from your university to help support their ticket sales, and then sit anywhere you want after kickoff when you see what's empty.

Yeah, stay in Bossier for sure. But as far as ticket availability, you should be fine. I'm sure the weather will suck and the place will be 1/2 full at most as usual.

The property is fine but the location isn't great. Like someone suggested earlier stay at any of the casinos other than Diamond Jacks. Also, the Hilton downtown or Remington Suites.

ElDorado, Margaritaville, Horseshoe are the three I'd pick first.
