Always bet against your team. It’s a win/win

Bet both. It'll confuse the hell out of Vegas! It's all about throwing them off their rhythm...

I always bet a victory tax. Never bet on your own team

I put $500 on the LSU moneyline.

frick the spread, bet the money line on LSU.

Tigers win, you get to celebrate the win and bigger $$$

Tigers lose, you'll already be pissed at losing the game so losing the bet doesn't make it worse.

If you bet on the spread and LSU loses by 1 or 6, you'll be pissed and the (smaller) win from the bet won't really make it better.

Bet Bama and the money line. If LSU wins outright, you basically paid X amount for the win!

I'll arrive in Vegas tomorrow night. How much I put on the LSU money line depends on how my first night at the tables goes.

If you're considering betting on Alabama, wait until gameday. The line will probably drop to 6 or maybe even 5.5

If you're betting LSU bet the moneyline.

Looks like 77% of the moneyline money is going to LSU...makes sense.

Or lose/lose, but if you're a glass half full kind of guy...

"Hey, my team lost, but I'm getting that boat now. So..."

OR

"Well, I have to hold off on that man cave, but LSU is going to the playoffs!"

The only real "losing" in that scenario is if you bet too much. Then LSU makes the playoffs, but you can no longer afford the trip to watch them.

I don't tend to give gambling advice but to me it always makes sense to bet with your head over your heart. In my case I simply never bet on my team and it solves the betting with your heart problem.
