I hate Alabama as much as anybody but Tuscaloosa looks a lot better now then before. Nothing compares to that shithole called Starkville.

These clowns trashing Alabama’s campus and bar scene are clueless.

My wife’s parents live in Tennessee. I drive through Tuscaloosa every time I go there. I have been there at least 30 times over the years. Every time I’ve passed through Tuscaloosa all I’ve ever seen is what looks like a truck stop town that is old and run down, like the hood in North Baton Rouge. If Tuscaloosa is anything like Baton Rouge, all the nicer places are away from town and the older parts of the city is now the hood. All I can say is from the interstate it looks pretty bad.

Tuscaloosa is a dump.
It’s a smaller and safer version of Baton Rouge. Plus they don’t have to deal with Gary Chambers

I figured that. Baton Rouge is old and dead and has been taken over by the hood. You don’t get into any nice areas until you get away from the actual city limits. I figured Tuscaloosa is similar.

Your mom calls her basement Tuscaloosa?

There are definitely some nice affluent areas within the city of Tuscaloosa and other rough, less pleasant areas (like every southern town). Keep in mind, there’s a large difference between the city of Tuscaloosa, and the campus of The University of Alabama.

This statement shows your lack of intelligence. Actually your stupidity.
Show me any metro area that has “nice” parts of town next to an interstate.
