In support of Bama fans' assertion

that they deserved to be in the playoffs, I did a little math.
Of their victories, their 10 opponents won 64 games and lost 60, which works out to an average of 6.4 wins and 6 losses per opponent. Quite an impressive resume don't you think?
I'm in total amazement that the Committee ignored this display of power and dominance.

No, that’s not what we’ve argued at all. Our argument is that the 4 best teams should be there. In no universe was TCU one of the 4 best teams. Nobody believed that. Not then, and certainly not now.

Does it matter? The best team in the country won the national championship.
Crying over the 4th place team is stupid. Alabama has nobody but themselves to blame.
0 losses - Alabama is in.
1 loss - Alabama is in.
At some point, you gotta blame your own team.

Georgia’s only losses in 2 years and a select few months have been Alabama.
Alabama is literally Georgia repellant for college football. And they’ve been bad losses too. Like, total domination.

If the discussion being had doesn't fit your preconceived notions, then you should simply change the discussion completely.
ETA: No one "deserves" to be the in playoffs, but Bama was certainly one of the 4 best teams in the country and should have been in the playoff. It is what it is.

You should venture off this site more. Lots of people are calling out the playoff committee's bad decisions today.

To be clear, you believe that TCU is one of the 4 best teams in all of college football?

They weren’t even the 4th teams.
And they beat Michigan.
People act like the Committee put them in this game. Michigan did.

LSU fans are losing their minds over knowing Bama was one of the 4 best teams.

4 Best or 4 most deserving. Is best defined as what? Highest recruiting rankings? Eye Test? The 12 team playoff cannot get here soon enough.

You know it when you see it. Everybody with a half functioning brain knew TCU didn’t belong.

Analytics aren't perfect but they all pretty clearly said what most people thought - TCU is a Top 10 team but they were not a Top 4 team. The 4 "best" teams were Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan and then either Alabama or Tennessee. The Big XII had a whole bunch of "solid" teams but did not have any elite teams. TCU beat Michigan because Michigan absolutely self destructed again and again and again, and even then it was a one score game.
But it is what it is. The expanded playoff will take case of these sorts of issues. Arguments will shift to bubble teams like in basketball.

O we are not. Clearly Bama was better than TCU , the only question the committee has to answer in the future do we put a team in the NC playoffs that we know is not one of the best 4 teams but had a feel good story or do we put another top SEC team in the playoffs that we know is better. Though Bama has no one to blame but themselves. -and certainly LSU fans are not going to apologize; why should they. Saying that Bama was arguably the 4th best team .

This year more than any, the committee was successful in picking the four best teams. Tennessee was the closest team with a case for it as the season ended, but the result of the NC would have likely been the same regardless.

To be clear, you believe TCU would have beaten Alabama or Tennessee on a neutral field?
