Let's go back to....
The Day he was hired by Alabama

I've been fapping all day. Just trying to help all you ranters out so you can get on board and not look like fools by trying to pretend like this is anything other than a great hire. The rest of the national media response will surely make you people feel silly.

This is definitely the best one from the media:
Paul Finebaum

quote:
Quite frankly, not only do I think it salvages the day, I really think in many ways this is a better hire than Gregg Marshall," Finebaum said. "I say it's a better hire because Avery Johnson wants the job. He wants to be there. He's enthusiastic. He's excited. He's not heartbroken about leaving behind a team, a city and a legacy.

And LSU is still not a rival.
Hope you guys go far in the tourney. We Bama fans are all cheering you on!

@SethDavisHoops This has been a great few weeks for SEC hoops. Barnes, Howland, now Avery Johnson coming into the league. Way to step it up.

Reminds me of when politicians catch hell from things they said many years ago...

This is the 3rd or 4th time this thread has been started, and all by fans of a school whose coach is currently suspended and on FBI Wiretaps discussing his cheating.
STILL FAPPING.

Same case that also implicated your program/Sexton

Incorrect. The Sexton ordeal has already been dealt with by Alabama and the NCAA. That info was public long ago, and it wasn't brought to light by our head coach being stupid enough to discuss paying for recruits over the phone.

Even SummerOfGeorge thought Avery was going to be a good hire what a loser

Christian Dawkins, then a budding business manager in Atlanta, listed Sexton for an alleged $5,000 payment in a text to financial advisor Munish Sood, freelance reporter Adam Zagoria reported Wednesday. A Sept. 5, 2017 email from Dawkins to Sood, ESPN reported, laid out a plan for a more complex payment structure from Dawkins to the Sexton family. There was the alleged $5,000 payment, plus a plan to pay the point guard $1,500 a month to Sexton, another $21,000 to his family for travel and a four-year job for Sexton's brother paying a total of $170,000, ESPN reported.
Alabama's reaction was to suspend Sexton and fire a coach

Looks like I was exactly right. Is reading difficult? Sexton was cleared to play by the NCAA and the coach involved was fired. That's old info and has long been dealt with.
