another comparison thread my MSHawg.

Preface - I used Winspedia for most of the information. I used the NCAA website's PDF on records/championships to get the number of national championships for each team. I was shown this PDF last week. Page 110 begin the list of every champion named by every selector from 1869-present. I simply counted how many times each team's name came up. That seemed fair. Here is the link. LINK

National Titles -

Alabama - 22
Oklahoma - 16

Conference Titles -

Alabama - 30
Oklahoma - 47

Conference Championship Game Appearances (not counting this season -

Alabama - 11
Oklahoma - 8

Weeks Ranked in the AP Poll -

Alabama - 787
Oklahoma - 826

Weeks at AP #1 -

Alabama - 115
Oklahoma - 101

All-time Wins -

Alabama - 901
Oklahoma - 893

All-time Winning Percentage -

Alabama - .725
Oklahoma - .724

Bowl Appearances -

Alabama - 68 (39-25-3 record)
Oklahoma - 51 (29-21-1 record)

Heisman Winners

Alabama - 2
Oklahoma - 6

Series Record -

Oklahoma leads 3-1

Random Facts -

-Oklahoma has more wins than any other program since WWII
-Alabama has spent more weeks at the #1 spot in the AP Poll since 2009 than every other school combined.

Overview - A fun list to compile. Lots of information. My personal opinion is that Alabama is a better program by a hair. I am openly rooting for this match-up in the playoffs. Also, Oklahoma leads the all-time series.

Oklahoma has one of the Greatest traditions in CFB. They should have a better stadium than they do.

Maybe so. I haven't been there in five or six years. I hope they got some nice upgrades.

That game was the apex of the “backup QB starts against Alabama, plays game of his life and leads his team to victory, and then never replicates that level of success again” hex that we had going against us for a while there.

It's not close. It's Tua's to lose.

He would have to throw 6 or 7 picks the next 3 games.

A crashing wagon is not that great of a tradition.

Edit: And playing the same fricking song over and over and over and over.

Well, I do know that the last time they played each other Oklahoma kicked their asses pretty good and the entitled Bammers in attendance started assaulting OU fans at random.

I didn't anything on your list that has anything to do with the Heisman race, except for the Weeks at #1... but that's really just this year for Tua.
