there's ways around that with minimal effort on the SEC's part.

there is no rule that says your final week's opponent has to be the exact same school every year.

the SEC could easily rotate the final week between us, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri as we rotate on and off each other's schedules.

You and I know that will never happen.

A&M needs Arky instead of Mizzou. A&M has been playing Texas, LSU, and Arky for 100 years and by far the most of any of our other opponents. Nothing in common with Mizzou other than being on the other side of the Big 12 and playing every so often. Same with OU for us. The 3 schools we have history with are sips, corn dogs, and piggies.

Kind of cracks me up when LSU folks say they don't see A&M as rivals. Houston and East Texas is basically an LSU/A&M war zone with the oil industry. My son went to A&M Galveston in the Maritime Academy and they had almost as many LSU folks from Louisiana and Aggies (it's the only true Maritime Academy in the Gulf and Louisiana is obviously a huge maritime state). Is it Auburn/Bama or Florida/GA? Of course not but plenty of hate to go around with so many LSU grads that live in Texas.

It’s usually the outsiders that are the most vocal and want to change things.

I have a bunch of liberal Yankees in my neighborhood and they are the loudest about the dumbest things.

And all the Southerners in our neighborhood are like “guy l, just sit back, relax and enjoy what we built here for you to want to come down here in the first place.”
