It's not the ability to play or not play. It's taking first responders away from where they could be more useful. They could be directing traffic at a football game or protecting people or saving lives as the storm rolls in. I'm bent about not being able to go to the game for my own selfish reasons, but it's 110% the right decision.
But I would expect a East Tennessee hilljack to understand that.
