They are elected. I’m sure it feels good to be elected for something by the student body at the biggest school in the country.

I knew a guy that was mascot corporal his sophomore year and yell leader his junior and senior years. Head yell leader his last year.
Great, great guy, and women were always around him. Perfect gentleman about it, as far as I ever knew.
A&M is a different place, and we like it that way.

Make fun of it all you want, but name a school with a more loyal and cohesive alumni base.

All of the Aggies I know are good people. They're a prideful bunch for a very mediocre program historically, which is cool.
I can respect them for being content with mediocrity for so long.

Tex AM fans. Don't even try to act like those yell leader guys are something special. I live here AM aggie land and even most of AM fans I know are embarrassed at that yell leader group of guys. NO problem with the Aggie fans except most of them are a wine and cheese crowd at the tailgating events.
