yea Perry is the only one who scares me a bit.

the athletic ability is there. However, it's just inexperience. Perry will be fine, as long as he isn't the starting safety. Lester is key this year.

just read the posts from your fellow posters- they believe this is the greatest team ever, no one can stay on the field with them, not even pro teams, and Nick Saban is truly the bear incarnate
Be encouraged
Truth is you have another very good team this year

1. Shut up.
2. Michigan, Arky, and LSU are all different styles. LSU's offensive approach is exactly like Bama's. Preparing for UNT on ESPNU isn't exactly as nice as preparing for Michigan on ABC.
Below are stats of LSU's game vs UNT, and last years bama squad's vs Kent state.
Both UNT(12) and kent state(11) were ranked 107 Preseason
we had 508 yards of offense (482).
we had 316 yards of rushing (183)
we had two backs go over 100 yards rushing. (0)
we jumped out to a 24-0 lead before giving up any points. (21)
we averaged 6.9 yards per rush (5.2)
we had 1 turnover. (5)
we returned a punt for a touchdown, two actually, but one was nullified by penalty. (0)
3. LSU goes toe to toe with bama every year. Your backs usually have season lows vs us, your WR's, not named Julio, usually struggle, your OLine is usually nullified by our Dline. It's going to be another close match in the trenches.

I don't understand LSU's obsession with Alabama playing Kent State last year.....and what the frick does it have to do with this year?!?!?!??!?!?!?!???!?!?!?!?!?!

No. Bama secondary is great but milliner needs to watch it. He had a good game but rewatch the game and tell me where his eyes are. On cover two calls his eyes are in the backfield the entire time but he is just athletic enough to make plays. I'm sure Saban will correct that but he needs to get his eyes to recievers because looking at the quarterback gets you in trouble when the qb can actually read a defense.

It's simple. Kent state and UNT are both teams LSU and bama snoozed through to a win. Neither were spectacular in the stat sheet, and neither had to do more than the bare minimum to secure a victOry in blowout fashion. Look at the energy level. You can see an obvious difference in those games and huge conference or OOC games.

But the one common denominator is that we beat the #8 team in the nation just as bad as you beat a nobody at home.

quote:Right... but no one brought up North Texas or Kent State... so I'm not sure I understand your reasoning, other than to try to show us Bama fans that Alabama is on equal footing with LSU, regardless of the fact that the Kent State game was in the past, with a different team.
