Recovering Southern Baptist, thank you very much!! I left my parents church right after this guy got up in the pulpit one Sunday and told us all how we needed to vote in an upcoming election. That sort of crossed a line for me.
When I go now, it's to a Presbyterian church, or occasionally Methodist.

My parents neighbors were/are Southern Baptist. One of their daughters who is a year younger than me just finished PT school. And while she did her rotations (each of which was a month long in another state), her mom went and stayed with her the entire time.

Usually that epiphany comes for a Baptist when the preacher gets a DUI or gets arrested for soliciting a tranny hooker.
