I am against organized religion. Many Southern Baptist churches don't even allow women to speak in "business meetings". That's sick.
I know some Baptist churches aren't like that, but those that are just...

You're not scary, chilld. But you know some Baptists are just a bit over the edge.

Usually that epiphany comes for a Baptist when the preacher gets a DUI or gets arrested for soliciting a tranny hooker.
Or when they go off to college and realize that everything that the church teaches is nuts.

I don't think atheism in and of itself is bad at all (just a belief like any other). But "athiests" can be annoying as shite. I'm not religious but I do believe in God.

I agree. The militant atheists are no better than the religious zealots they hate so much.

Or embezzles money from the church.

atheist scare the shite out of me...the country was a better place before they started trying to push their views on everybody...just look at the schools.
Most athiests aren't trying to push their beliefs on anyone. We aren't out on street corners telling people that they're going to hell, or handing out bibles at schools, or things like that.
Yes, I'm against religion in schools, but that's because of separation of church and state.

I don't think it was intentional. Any time religion comes up, it's bound to create drama.

There is no such thing as a separation of church/state. The law is that the government can not establish an official religion.

I met this extremely nice lady at work a couple weeks ago. I mean possibly the nicest lady I've ever met. She was older. Anyways, we were just shooting the shite and after awhile she kept trying to steer every conversation towards Jesus, the Bible, or God. It was super annoying, and I really didn't appreciate it, but I just kinda nodded my head and smiled since she was so nice.

This. I'm a Christian with a strong belief system. But I don't try to push my views unasked on others, nor do I appreciate the same. I remember as a kid how any time the Mormons or Jehovah's Witness types would come around, my mom wouldn't even open the door to 'em!
Diddy - do you think atheists are any more to blame for the state of the public schools than the changing culture that has made corporal punishment a "bad" thing? I seem to remember that a well-placed pop on the behind could solve a bunch of problems.

I know that. The idea that Christians have that this nation was founded as a Christian nation is absurd though. Most of our founding fathers weren't even Christian. Hell, the Treaty of Tripoli explicitly states that is country was not founded as a Christian Nation.

The law is that the government can not establish an official religion.
Passing a law based on religious beliefs (such as abortion or marriage laws) has the same effect. It basically says that regardless of your believes, you will have to obey a law that is based upon the religious beliefs of those in the government. It is indirectly establishing that belief system as the official religion of the nation since that religion is now influencing the laws.

The country system of government is based off Free Masonry.

She did it wrong. You're supposed to answer the door naked.
