Dude you sound pathetic. Your team is soft this year just accept the independence bowl and go home.

Why doesn't Orgeron lobby for the playoffs?
Posted on 12/3/17 at 6:27 am to Tigerfan53
Idiot. Every year?! Saban hasn’t had to lobby before this because Bama won the SEC with one loss and were a clear 1 or 2 seed. No lobbying required.
Now this year he has to and yes he’s doing his job and trying to help his players get rewarded for their hard work all season. I mean can you believe him? What a piece of shite!

Saban

2016 You should have to win your conference to be in the CFP playoff
2017 you dont need to win your conference
COME ON MAN

You said “lobbying for playoffs”. If you are trying to reference more than the playoffs, which have only been around since 2014 and prove my statement factual, then try using better words next time. Idiot.

Except he never said this. You halfwits will believe anything you see on the damn internet. It’s why we have to have special counsels about Russian propaganda and the like because idiots will believe anything to confirm their own biases.

His entire answer:
translation: I believe in conference championships when it benefits me
quote:
I think I can answer the question better if you gave me a specific scenario. I think that being a conference champ is certainly a significant accomplishment for any team or any program. But I also think that sometimes there are circumstances where a team can play really, really well for an entire season. Are we basing the Playoff on the whole body of work that a team does throughout the year in terms of the teams they beat and the quality opponents they played against, or is it just about one game? So, when you talk about conference championships, if you play a conference championship, some leagues don’t even have conference championships. So it’s not sort of a fair and equitable way if you’re gonna base that particular group on didn’t play a conference championship. So you’re doing the whole body of work; then it seems a little more reasonable to look at everyone else’s entire body of work when you decide who the best teams are. Hey, we won a national championship here and didn’t win the SEC. I think in that particular year, LSU and Alabama had the two best teams. So we had to play in the regular season, so we played 9-6. There are 42 guys — somebody wrote an article — that played in the NFL that played on that field that day. So they were two really, really good teams. Well, both teams in the same divisions couldn’t play in the conference championship, so we end up going to the championship game. So, was that the right thing or the wrong thing? I’m sure everybody could debate that. I believe that those were the two best teams. So it depends on what the goal is.

Eh, it's a little different. Most of the time, it's a reporter at their field house, asking that question. Saban makes the circuit, begging to get in.
But, who can blame him? ESPN and the rest of the sports networks give him the pulpit, and it worked before. Totally undeserved, but he has a title to show for it last time.

Man, lots of hurt butts in this mother fricker.

I think the actual translation is that they are part of the equation.

No. He was presenting both sides to an argument when asked his opinion, but he didn’t have any skin in the game last year because Bama was clearly in already. His statements are very much consistent with what he is saying this year.

Christ these LSU fans are pathetic. Dumb as a box of shite.

He didn't say it exactly that way man. The way you posted it is deceiving to say the least. I don't want Bama in either but people are just outright spreading false info on what Saban said.
