first time posting in an im thread, be nice :)
need some suggestions for christmas gifts for my daughter's boyfriend. i'm hoping that some of y'all who are in college/recently graduated can give me some good ideas.
she's bringing him home for christmas (for the first time)and i want him to have several, small, fun gifts..think christmas, not pornmas
they go to a small, private, midwestern univerty
he starts on the basketball team
he does drink
he likes to cook out and has a grill (barbeque, not tooth grill)
is not into clothes and has plenty of college gear
help me!

College kids and recent grads generally don't get the chance to drink good swill. I suggest getting him a nice liquor set. There's a three bottle Glenlivet set at Costco for $130.
Other than that, good grilling tools are always a decent mid range gift.

A nice grill set, a steak brand with his college logo (or yours, if you want to needle him a little!) and a nice set of bbq rubs and sauces. Maybe a bbq/grilling cookbook. Collection of hot sauces.
A nice bottle of bourbon with rocks glasses.
A gift card to a restaurant where he can take your daughter out to dinner.
Just a few ideas off the top of my head without knowing him.
ETA - if you have a World Market near by, they have a bunch of "beers of the world" sets, or you can mix and match your own. That might be nice too.

buy him a decent set of spices or sauces for grilling, he'll probably like that.

i was considering meeting him at the door with a large butcher knife in hand to prevent the knocking up problem
