He is also a TX guy right? He could get his career back on path with continued progression on top of what Morris was doing there. Not a bad hire. Not better than us getting CCM though

One coach been promoted to power 5 conference and the other been demoted to a non power 5 conference.

He had to get out of Ruston because he went 9-3 one year, including a blowout victory over a crappy SEC school and LA Tech didn't get a bowl invite. He was a rising prospect then and had a better resume leaving LA Tech than Morris does currently. I suspect he will do well at SMU.
