I've read multiple places that they were all offering basically the same money.

How many coaches do you think actually read through their contracts instead of letting agents do it and give them the green light?

Just curious why the Kentucky, Auburn and A&M guys are trying to attack LSU here
I know we're one of the most insecure fanbases in the country... any trolling here gets echoed on the rant, but it's for real. Les' headset, his eating grass, etc. It's really easy pickings.
But here's the thing: we were pissed about Herman jilting us and getting stuck with the interim, Orgeron, who had a horrible record at Ole Miss in the past. And then with Kelly, nobody expected or wanted him, and then he never did anything to move the needle for excitement. Even having Jayden Daniels win the Heisman, that somehow never attached to Kelly, as much as Donbrook and Sloan.
We're excited about Lane, wanted him, and went out and got him. You're not going to shake anyone's cage today by saying "oh he's just going to abandon you, or revert back to his 2008 level". We expect him to win and put a good offense on the field. We expect some excitement, after the valium of Kelly's term.

Had three schools offering him around the same amount of money, and probably a fourth. It wasn’t just about money. Ole Miss and UF were matching offers
